Time. Eight climbing days with a gentle profile give your body more nights above 3,500 m than any other route, so summit night starts from a far stronger physiological base. Nothing about the route is easier — you are simply better acclimatised when it matters.

How quiet is the northern side really?

Between Moir Hut and School Hut you will often share the entire trail with no one but your own crew and the occasional eland. Under 3% of Kilimanjaro climbers take this route.

Is 10 days too long to be camping?

Our full-service camping keeps it comfortable: dining tent, proper cooked meals, thick mats, and a private toilet tent. Most climbers find the rhythm of mountain days addictive by day four.

How should I train?
